A recently finished commisson. Often when I am working on an illustration I find it helpful to create a story in my mind to explain why the characters I'm drawing are doing certain things. In this case the character is the client's OC who goes by the name of Tankette. This may or may not be canon for the character, but it helped me create the drawing. I have come to the opinion that if I ever do a super hero comic I will consult, observe, and study parkour athletes for all my rooftop hopping, multi-story jumping, and general looking awesome reference. Of course this is assuming the super hero doesn't have flight or teleport capabilities.

Some study sketches/drawings of one of Luna's growing pool of Mares-in-Waiting; the batpony Nightfall. She's hothead but she befriends Applebloom and the two of them regularly spar together. A frequent part of the batpony's wardrobe are those striped high stockings/socks.
