I've really enjoyed working on these!! I started the challenge in a time I wanted to test my "simpler" style more so I've used it on these 8 illustrations and I must say this 5-days journey led me to actual improvement through a better understanding of this process! The most fun artwork I've worked on in a while!! I loved plating with the lights and rendering the lighting, it's something new I had never tried!

This piece was full of experimentalism and I've learned a lot!
The main difference from my usual process is that I haven't used Multiply as blending mode for the shadows layers but Linear Burn instead. I noticed that Linear Burn keeps the colors saturation high and created higher contrast with the base colors than Multiply does. I always have hard time color-picking the base colors from a reference (an anime screenshot in this case, but it's the same when I use Genshin's key arts colors) because they're so light that it takes many Adjustment layers to darken them as required to the atmosphere I have in mind!
