Witch of the Black Forest / Waboku (November Post)

Had the idea to redraw some of my favorite old YuGiOh cards, but I only got a couple done before a bad art slump hit me. I still like how they turned out, though!

Another month, another attempt to overcome my usual mental health hurdles. :)

I'm finding it very, very difficult at the moment to accomplish much of anything artistically, but I'm still trying. Hoping I get through this soon.

August Post (Summer Sabrina)

Got a lot of cool stuff done this month! I started using vector layers for my line art in Clip Studio Paint, and it's given me a lot more control and a little more confidence to try thinner brushes. I'm still experimenting and trying to find a combination of thick and thin lines, cel-shading and soft-shading, etc. I'm proud of how Summer Sabrina turned out, I don't think I could've achieved the same line consistency in a raster layer...

Yo! I took some time off in July because I was super burnt out, but I'm feeling great now. Changed up my medications and it's like night and day.

Hey, y'all. I got a ton done in May. A lot of art that I'm really proud of.

I'm also working hard to improve my health and get new print designs finished. It'll be awhile until I can go to another event (they're all cancelled for the foreseeable future due to COVID) but I'll put the prints in my online shop when they're ready.

March Post (Dinner Break)

November Post (Ripe)

For November, I did a different full-color drawing every day (except the last three), using random prompts from a word generator. I also started practicing digital painting in an attempt to expand my skills. I got a hell of a lot done and I'm proud.

In December, I won't have as much to post -- I have a ton of stuff to get ready for events next year. But I'll still be teaching myself to paint and doing my best to share cool stuf...

Samus vs Ridley (February Post)

Frostbite was a blast -- it was great meeting so many people and getting to share my art. I have another tournament coming up before long, and this drawing is a hint as to what it'll be. :)

I've always liked the Justin Bailey color scheme from the original NES Metroid game -- it's a palette we don't see very often, and it really pops. Hopefully you guys like it, too!

It took me a long time to finally finish this one, but I did.

November Post (Kelda)

I intentionally tried to make this sort-of impressionistic, but that's a style that I don't have much experience with and it didn't quite turn out the way I wanted. Still, I like this drawing a lot. I feel like it gives exactly the kind of vibe about Kelda that I try to convey -- happy-go-lucky, in-tune with nature, and innocent. It was nice to draw some of my characters in their environment.
