Month End Post: September 2025 Wrap-Up

Whenever I start writing these blog entries, I say to myself “it simply cannot be one whole month later.” And yet, here we are! It’s the last day of September 2025. 👋

Summer is out of here, and fall has burst through our door – bringing leaves, warm meals, and chilly weather with it. This month, GB has stayed booked and busy, checking tasks off her list left and right. While we don’t have a massive milestone for you this month, we do have several important building blocks to tell you about. We are gearing up for the public demo this November, after all!

Let’s get to it, fam.

Monthly Content Summary:

This month, GB hosted the second event in her new Q&A Tumblr series. If you’re new to these, she’ll be on Tumblr during the second Sunday of every month, answering as many questions as she can via our inbox. Feel free to swing by with lore, development, or behind-the-scenes questions!

Both Our Life titles were accepted into Studio Élan’s Fall in Love Visual Novel Festival! The festival started September 24th, and will conclude October 1st – tomorrow! Hosted on Steam, Our Life has been listed among an outstanding list of romantic visual novels. The Our Life DLCs are also on sale! If you’ve been waiting for your moment with Baxter, Derek, and/or Cove (heavy on the “and”) it’s your time to shine. 

Finally, GB will be out of office on a trip from September 24th through October 8th. If a question arises during that time, you can reach out to me on Discord (@brb_gaming) and I’ll do my very best to get you an answer. 

Script Progress:

On the writing front, Step 2 continues to grow! GB is working on the finalized script of Moment 8, and Moment 9 has been fully drafted. 

Programming & Art Progress:

Most of this month was spent wrapping up the Step 2 prologue. AND IT IS DONE! It’s such a huge part of the game (as you all are well aware) and every detail matters to really set the scene as you head into the Moments.

And of course, our artists have been hard at work, making autumn-themed magic left and right. A brand new CG has joined the collection, and more Step 2 backgrounds are underway.

That’s all for September’s progress report! Every step brings us closer to the finished product, and Baxter would tell us that we’re doing it with impeccable style. He also told us that the game would be more chic if it was in black and white. You can’t win ‘em all.
