Personally, I almost always turn it off. Privacy plays a role, sure, but mostly, I just donโt vibe with the sound effects or voices used. I usually have a specific tone or voice in mind, and when it doesnโt match, it totally breaks my immersion.
But I know this is a matter of preference, so Iโd love to see where you all stand!
Do you prefer:

If there's AI voice acting I turn it off. Sound effects generally add to the experience though and can be fun
