I still want to see Alex talk to Edward Dutton! He never argues in bad faith, & is not immature, & you do agree on most thingsβ¦except heβs way more conservative. It will be a fruitful discussion. Please consider it ππ»

Like Alex I really hate conflict in a romantic relationship - my upbringing wasnβt as bad, but my mother & I clashed a lot - but I like disagreeable men. Maybe because I am fairly disagreeable myself, & so it has to satisfy my hypergamy. But itβs not too hard to find men who share my basic views & are still laidback when it comes to our relationship. Alex reminds me of men I know who would never date a disagreeable woman, but like to have them as friends. I have a fair number of such friends. They didnβt all have bad upbringings either. I think they just like a certain kind of woman, & they seek mental stimulation from other people. I canβt relate to that, but whatever works for them!
Iβm not often interested in arguing anymore either. I really do think one grows out of that. Ideally.
