FREE Animation Render Time Estimator for Blender

Add-on zip file

Blender only shows the time and progress to render individual frames, this often results in users having to calculate overall render-time for animations by themselves. Not Anymore ! This simple Blender add-on provides an estimated render time for animations, helping you track progress while rendering.

Additionally, the add-on outputs updates in the system console, providing detailed insights into the rendering process.

Key Features:

-Render Time Estimates: Displays approximate render time based on the first few frames.

-Progress Bar: Visual progress indicator directly in the Image Editor.

-ETA Display: Shows the estimated time left to complete rendering.

-Console Output: Option to log progress updates in the system console for tracking.

-User-Friendly Interface: Available in the Image Editor sidebar for easy access.

The add-on dynamically adjusts to the render progress, updating the remaining time and frame count as rendering proceeds.

add-on-RenderEstimator-v2.3.0.zip

Simply drag and drop the zip file into blender (4.3.0 and up) and you're all set. (DO NOT UNZIP)

Alternatively you can also install it like a legacy addon by going to Edit > Preferences > Addons > Install from disk (Top right drop down arrow) and then selecting the zip file.

The add-on once enabled skips the first frame of every animation and calculates the Estimated Render Time with the data from the 2nd frame of the animation.

Once you start rendering you'll get an approximate estimation of your total render time in the top right header corner of the render window like this ๐Ÿ‘‡

Update Interval dictates how many frames should it skip before calculating the ETA again. It is recommended to turn this on to get more accurate estimation.

The add-on also prints the ETA and progress into the console as well.
