🔥 Dev Update – Heated Hashtag Chapter 4 + Future Plans 🔥

Hey everyone!

I wanted to share a big update on how things are going with Heated Hashtag. I’m happy to say that development is moving along according to plan, and I’m already in the final stretch! Right now, I’m focused on finishing the writing and image prompting for Jason’s party — and once that’s done, I’ll be doing a full replay to fine-tune the experience, adding sound effects and background music to bring everything together.

If everything keeps going smoothly, I should be able to announce the release dates for Chapter 4 next week! 🥳


🌟 The Future of the VN

I also want to take a moment to talk about where Heated Hashtag is headed. I already have an ending written out (though of course it might evolve as the story develops). My current plan is to deliver 8 to 10 chapters total, following the same format you’ve seen so far: a visual novel experience with meaningful choices, triggered events, and static images that let you focus on the characters and the story.

That takes me to animations — I’ve talked with some animators about the possibilities. The main challenge is that adding animations would almost certainly delay chapter releases, and I really don’t want to slow down the pace of this project.

What I’m thinking is: once the full VN is complete, I could work on animation patches to enhance key scenes. That way, we can keep the story moving at a good pace and still aim to make those special moments even more impactful down the line. I think this is the best way to balance quality and timely releases, given the time I have available.

💋 Mini Spoiler: Sophie Joins the Fun

Lastly, I wanted to give you all a little teaser… Sophie will be joining the group in Chapter 4! I have to say, I absolutely love writing her — she’s such a fun character, and I think she adds a fresh dynamic to the group. I really hope you’ll all enjoy her scenes as much as I’ve enjoyed working on them!
