2023-12-24 18:51:22 +0000 UTCThis is probably my favorite episode of the series, the action, the drama, the ruthlessness of it all, it had everything I needed all in one episode! That Mikasa killing spree scene is probably my favorite fight scene in the series, it was so cold, especially with the rain of blood ๐ฉธ ! Mikasa is not one to play with, just lay down and die at that point ๐ญ. I think Annie is just tired of being forced to fight, remember her adopted father made her fight day in and day out to become a warrior, then all those years of training and going to war for Marley. For her it had been endless aside from this 5-year rest. Her being out of the fight so long and being forced into this latest one probably made her realize that coming back, this isnโt what she wants for the rest of her life as her years are running short. Quite literally, all her life she had to fight ๐ The bird in the outro with Eren I think is supposed to be a metaphor for freedom. We see the bird flying fast and up towards freedom only for a cage to appear and the realization kicks in that the bird is trapped in the cage, which is how Eren had always felt. Heโs doing all this for freedom, so he can open that cage! R.I.P to Commandant Shadis, a real OG! R.I.P to Magath, he earned a bit if redemption at the end. Glad he got to realize his error by the end of his life. I was just upset because if we do get through this, I need him to talk to his bosses at Marley so he can explain all these misunderstandings ๐.
