Had to watch this straight away. This show is a work of art. That second episode in particular, the final sequence with Matt's dad is just overwhelming ;_; Oh and a "Cutman" in boxing is the guy in your corner who stitches you up/deals with swelling between rounds. Matt was his dad's cutman :( The fight at the end is iconic, with the camera not cutting away throughout the whole scene. Just excellent stunt and camera-work. The "dark" it's definitely more a Batman kind of thing. Daredevil is definitely a different guy though. Not a billionaire who has a chance encounter with crime change his life,, but just a kid from the working class raised in and affected by the pervasive evil around him. When Claire says she doesn't believe him when he says he enjoys it, there's a reason he doesn't reply. One of the big things with Daredevil is his catholic/spiritual side, that constant battle between the devil and the angel that goes on inside each of us (in episode one we saw you "let the devil out" on that mosquito :D). He's a very conflicted man, trying to reconcile his beliefs and his good nature with the corrupt world around him (and his own dark side that calls him to answer it with violence). Can't wait to see more, although I do feel bad that we get you to watch stuff that pings your empathetic nature so much (which I find sweet, though I don't envy you :)
